Living the Tarot: Exploring the Cards through Inquiry and Creativity

There are many ways to understand tarot.   When the word “tarot” is brought up, many of us cannot help but see images of woman sitting at cloth-covered table with a crystal ball.  Tarot has been historically and widely used to tell fortunes and make predictions about other peoples’ lives.

Over time, new and creative ways of understanding the tarot have emerged.  Cards can provide an access point to the evolution of our potential.  In my own tarot practice, I do not read for others.  My goal as a guide is never to be the guru, or to give you the answers, but instead to lead you back to your own source of inner wisdom.

You are invited to join us as we shift the old paradigms around reading cards and open up to the deep wells of wisdom we already have within.  We will gather together to explore new ways of reading tarot, going beyond traditional meanings and predictive readings to engage in conversations with the cards.

This workshop is the second of a series of two (you can participate in one or both) that are meant to spark an ongoing inquiry process and give you the tools to read tarot for yourself regardless of your experience level or knowledge of card meanings.  The goal is not to come away with any rigid ideas about what we are experiencing or will experience, but rather to live into the questions that the cards invite us to ask.  We will utilize embodiment practices to access the support of our body as an ally in our transformation and growth.

 PART 2: Jan. 11th, 1:00-4:00

During the second installment, we will go further into the tarot breakthrough process, exploring an in-depth multi-card reading as well as breathwork and movement practices that will support the alchemy of this breakthrough.

NOTE: A variety of decks and art supplies will be provided, but feel free to bring your own if you have materials that speak to you already. Please bring a journal.
