Empowered Childbirth with Reiki is for:

Those who are pregnant or are planning to become pregnant, and your birthing partner(s) if they wish to participate, who seek pathways of empowerment, connection and embodiment inside of your pregnancy, birthing and parenting journey.

AND

Birth workers (doulas, midwives, lactation coaches, etc.) who are seeking practices that can substantially support your grounded well- being in this challenging profession, that are effective and yet also simple and easy to access on the job, and that can also be easily shared with clients.

Whether you plan a home or hospital birth, Reiki, a Japanese energy healing art, will be a trusted and powerful ally for you. You can take this class whether you are new to Reiki or already trained in it.

You will learn the foundations of the system of Reiki, with the emphasis on the use of Reiki during pregnancy, birth and to support your growing child. You with gain the tools, experiences and knowledge to:

• Form deep energetic connection with the baby, for profound early bonding between unborn baby and family;

• Bring deep relaxation into the core of your being, and ease pain and discomfort during pregnancy, delivery and postpartum; 

• Reduce the need for medication to manage common symptoms of pregnancy (such as swollen feet, digestive problems, back and nerve pain, numbness of limbs, etc.);

• Support you in navigating the ever-changing nature of the pregnant body; and to feel integrated through the changes;

• Prepare the body and spirit for the birthing process for both baby and family;

• Birthing partners will learn practices for sharing Reiki with the birthing parent and baby throughout the birthing process;

• Deepen your relationship to your powerful body and its innate capacity to birth your baby; support natural childbirth if that is desired;

More About Reiki:

Reiki is a spiritual healing art with its roots in Japanese Buddhism, Shintoism and martial arts, developed in the late 1800's by Mikao Usui.  It is a subtle and effective form of energy work that is incredibly sweet and gentle as it loosens and releases pain, emotional blocks and undesired energy trapped in the body.  Practicing Reiki leads us to a greater understanding of what healing really is.

It is complimentary to other forms of medical or healing work, and can support physical, mental and spiritual health.  Reiki encourages a person's body and spirit to release anything that no longer serves.  Just as pouring cool water through a dusty pipe washes away loose dust and debris, Reiki washes through a person's system and loosens up pain, negative emotions and energy blocks, re-energizing the system towards remembering the wholeness of your true self.
